In early 1920, Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks were failing in their attempts to run their own commercial art operation. With no money coming in, Walt took a job working for a man named A. V. Cauger at the Kansas City Slide company, a company that specialized in film advertisements. Ub would soon join him there and the two men would become fascinated with a young and burgeoning art form that was about to take the entertainment business by storm.
